Full of great information on quality ingredients.  
I thought this was a great book. Funny enough - I found it while looking for my OWN skin care product line. While doing a search for Platinum Skin Care I found her book highlighted with my weblink. She had recommended purchasing from my line. I of course had to purchase the book to see what she had to say. I found that we agreed almost 100% on the types of ingredients and cosmeceuticals that should be used on the skin. I gave the book to all of my employees to read over. Not for everyone  
I found this book to be moderately informative but also a tad hypocritical. Dr. L emphasizes many times throughout the book that everyones skin is individual and reacts to certain products differently however she constantly touts "favorite" ingredients as surefire treatments ignoring the fact that what works wonders for her may be drastically irritating or ineffective for someone else. While its true that this book had some interesting information on skin care ingredients most of Lorettas advice is made with the assumption that your skin will react the same way that hers does despite all of her attempts to be objective.
I picked up this book hoping it could help me with acne thats been troubling me for a few years. Dr. Loretta says very little on treating acne as her book is primarily focused on adressing wrinkles and other age-related issues. If age is your primary concern that you may find this book useful however if youre looking to improve your skins clarity this isnt the bo : 2010-09-16 09:54:59

Awesome.  
My skin was dull and I was upset. I went to the spa and they recommended me botox on my forehead I was 30 years old! Ridiculous.. My friend gave me this book and I follow Dr Loretta regimen and my skin looked better overnight! Now I own this book and it helped me come back to normal if I knew earlier how important is to exfoliate. Im almost 32 and my skin looks better than in my twenties firm young fresh wrinkle free.

Refreshing  
Rather than try dozens of beauty products whose marketing I dont trust Ive tended to ignore them and hope for the best anyway. I never know how to wade through the bewildering amount of products available and find good info on what really works. But Ive really wanted better skin tone and something for circles under my eyes especially since I dont usually wear makeup foundation.

I started reading another book by a dermatologist on skincare and it overwhelmed me plus the tone put me off (its a male dermatologist whos nice enough but doesnt know what its like to be a woman and how we--or at least I--think).

So when I started this book I found it refreshing! The tone is inviting and friendly and Dr. Loretta makes it really seem possible that I can have great skin without making a lot of purchases on things that wont turn out to work.

I didnt know where to start and now I feel I do. I cant spend the money to do a fraction of what Dr. Loretta does ( : 2010-09-16 09:54:59
